Internet Resources About Prostate Cancer and Its Treatments

In the following table you will find links to some excellent websites providing clinical information about prostate cancer, its treatments, and the personal experiences of patients undergoing various procedures.

The first 4 boxes (having bold lettering) relate to PCCN Canada, our local cancer centre in Thunder Bay, detailed experiences of one of our members, and a help video produced by our own Jim Hyder.

Following those first links are some world class prostate cancer information sites in no particular order. After carefully reading material on a few sites, you will become more comfortable with the medical terminology and then will be able to skim further sites more quickly, looking for additional information.

Prostate Cancer Canada Network (formerly the Canadian Prostate Cancer Network) provides help and resources to all local PCS, including ours in Thunder Bay. They have a great deal of information for men diagnosed with prostate cancer and for their families.

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (our regional hospital) also has extensive information for men diagnosed with prostate cancer and for their families. See their Cancer Care section.
